Miners' Hamzic to compete in World University Games in Belgrade

Zlatan Hamzic, who earned Missouri S&T’s first individual national champion in any sport during the 2008-09 season, will have the opportunity to compete at the international level next week as he will take part in the World University Games in Belgrade, Serbia.

Henry named to ESPN The Magazine's Academic All-America first team

Missouri S&T senior Jordan Henry, who has earned numerous awards following his senior year at the university, has one more that he can add to his resume -- ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America honors. The St. Charles, Mo., native was named today to the first team on the Academic All-America squad, marking the second straight year that he has earned a spot on the team.

Missouri S&T’s scoring performances at the NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships have allowed the university’s athletics program to finish in the top one-third of Division II in the final Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup standings for the 2008-09 season.
